The Central Coast’s mix of lakeside 1960s and 1970s homes, newer estates, investment properties, and holiday homes creates varied leak risks. Aging supply lines, long underground pipe runs, larger blocks, and part-time occupancy can allow hidden leaks to waste thousands of litres before they are noticed
Australian Leak Detection has served the Central Coast for over 30 years, with local knowledge across Gosford, Wyong, lakeside suburbs, and growth areas. We use non-invasive leak detection methods suited to the region’s housing ages and leak patterns. We are ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 certified. Sewer and stormwater camera inspection is not available in NSW.

Check the water metre on every visit. If it is moving when water is not being used, you have a leak. Better yet: get a preventative leak detection inspection done. It is cheap insurance for an investment property. Many property managers now recommend annual leak detection inspections as standard preventative maintenance. The cost is minimal compared to water wastage and potential damage.
Yes. The longer the supply line, the greater the risk of failure and the longer a leak can go undetected. If your home is on a large block with a 50+ metre supply run, prioritise leak detection. A single hidden leak wastes thousands of litres. We recommend annual meter checks and monthly usage tracking for properties with very long supply lines - sudden spikes indicate leaks before they cause major damage.
Absolutely. If you are buying an older home or an investment property, a pre-purchase inspection identifies latent leaks before you commit. It is far cheaper to discover problems before purchase than to deal with them after. This is particularly important for investment properties - water wastage and damage reduce returns and affect property valuation.
