Water feature leak detection is a selective assessment service for ponds, water walls, channel features, and decorative water systems where the basin, lining, or associated plumbing can be accessed and tested.
The most common sources of water feature water loss are cracks in the basin lining, failed penetrations around pump housings and pipe fittings, underground supply or return line failures, splash-out, and evaporation that has been misattributed to a leak.

It uses similar methods — pressure testing, dye testing, and acoustic equipment. The difference is in the complexity of the feature and the accessibility of the plumbing. Yes. Dye testing and acoustic scanning can be used on concrete basins, fibreglass features, and pond liner systems. Concrete basins are particularly prone to hairline cracking and joint failures over time, especially in areas with soil movement or frost cycles.
Not as standard. We aim to conduct detection with the feature operating where possible. Some specific test scenarios may require the water level to be lowered, but a full drain is rarely necessary for initial assessment.

Commercial features are assessed under the same framework as residential, with reporting adapted to the scope and complexity of the installation.
Pools can lose varying amounts to evaporation. If loss is consistently above expected evaporation or the bucket test result, inspection may be needed.
