Water & Plumbing Questions

  • My water bill doubled — is that a leak?

Possibly, but not always. A sudden spike in water usage could indicate a leak, but it could just as easily be from unusual usage patterns or guests staying with you, lawn watering during dry weather, pool refill, hot tub operation, or a running toilet that fills constantly. Check your meter for running water, monitor the water meter when no fixtures are in use, look at toilet flapper seal, and check exterior taps and irrigation. Once you've confirmed an unexplained, ongoing rise in usage that has no other apparent explanation, schedule a leak detection inspection. We can locate the source within hours, prevent further property damage, and provide a written report you can supply to your water company for their review.

  • My water meter is running when everything is off — what does that mean?
  • Can you detect a leak under a concrete slab?
  • My plumber already looked and couldn't find it — can you still help?

Not sure what type of leak you have? That's exactly why we exist.

You don't need to know whether it's in the wall, underground, or under your slab. Just tell us what you've noticed, and ALD will take it from there.
